Is anyone else getting Ext 727 on TBS/TBS HD.

Im in Vegas, why the heck would the program be blocked?
I thought TBS was a national channel, I didnt even know it COULD be blocked.

Game Search says it cant find the game on any other channel.

You answered you own question! You are in southern Nevada (Las Vegas) which is IN the Angles territory. Local stations have the rights to this broadcast. If any 'local' stations decided not to pick up the game, you're simply 'out of luck'.

Here once again is a link to the MLB territories:

as you can see, your 'local' area is claimed by several teams, including the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, the A's, the Giants, the Padres, AND the Angles. Basically, good luck getting ANY national broadcasts of any of those teams unless the national broadcaster has paid for the 'full rights' to broadcast the game. Obviously, TBS has not, letting the 'local' broadcasters retain those rights to this game.

I believe that the Angels claim Vegas as part of their "local" territory. Even if you can't get the game on a local station, you still can't receive the game on a national station. I've heard before that Vegas is awful as far as MLB territories and blackouts go.

According to this map there are 6 teams that claim Vegas as being "local".
Well I'll be darned.

I knew about the Diamondbacks, but had no idea that the Angels claimed this territory.

Its cool, I wasnt too stressed to actually watch the game, I just woke up, turned on the TV and was trying to figure out why there was a 727 on my screen.

Thanks Bunches Y'all

Oh, and FWIW, I understand how the blackouts work, I just didnt know the angels claimed vegas as a local territory. I also didnt know TBS could be blacked out. (But I guess I shouldve, because last time I checked TNT could be blacked out so there's no reason TBS cant)
