My caller Id had not worked since day 1. I always got the "you must subscribe" notice after the 2nd ring........then the hope of it working with the current new download got my adrenalin pumping.....stayed up way past the time I should have........did not want to ring phone that late at night so I went to bed with visions of a working caller ID dancing in my head!!! When I got up with trembeling fingers I opened the cell phone and called home..... 1 ring>>> nothing, 2 rings>>>>nothing>>>>3 rings>>>>>nothing, 4 rings>>>> "You must subscribe to caller ID DOAHHHHH WA WA

After downloading 10B last night, I saw caller ID work for the first time. Of course, it may not work the next time.

Before, calls showed up in the log, but if I was actually watching TV, I would see the "you must subscribe" message. Is that the problem that others were seeing?

Mine will not log nor notify...never has?? I have done everything sugessted to no avail, on the bright side this is my only complaint with the box and I do love it as a DVR...if CID worked it would be , FOR ME, perfect!!!

Yes, formatted many times before, if I do it now wont I go back to old software since window is closed?? Also, I don't "classify the box as bad" for this feature not working. As I said I love this box and if CID worked There would be NOTHING to complain about for me.....just relaying my issues with the box...

Geez, that's got to be frustrating to have it 99% to your satisfaction. I knew you didn't "classify box as bad". Just a generic statement. You may have posted this elswhere..but do you have any other receivers where CID is working?

Thanks for your responses on this and your right, it is frustrating. I had the R15 before that worked great, I hooked up a phone to the line and it id'ed fine, so I know its the box. Once again, thank you for help with this. I almost feel ashamed of complaining about this when others are having serious recording issues but I really do love this box.
