There seems to be some debate on here about how many people are actually getting SF for free or were offered SF for free. Some naysayers on here are posting that tons of people are getting it for free, and others like me and hdtvfan001 are saying that msot people are not...so lets be honest with this poll people. I am putting 4 options...this poll is ONLY for people that have called to cancel ST or to try to get SF for free...not for people that are standing pat and paying for everything.

I called and talked to someone in the presidents office. We talked for about 20 minutes and offered me nothing.

By D* not willing to offer me anything, I canclled SF,ST and ESPN Gameplan. That's close to $400 they lost out on by not wanting to work with me.

I wasn't offered it free when I cancelled but was when DirecTV called me back about ST. I canceled ST partly because of SF, but also because of the Browns schedule, so I didn't take them up on the offer.

I called for a different reason and then got around to the SF issue. I got 10 dollars off for 12 months, so I am counting myself in the group of i called to get SF for free and got it, even though my bill will not reflect a no charge for SF.

It is same thing in the end... actually 20 more to me.

I called to cancel ST/SF and the CSR asked if I would continue my subscription if she gave me SF for free. They offered, I didn't ask for any freebies. Of course, I said yes. I was transferred to another CSR. She took care of the credit and it shows on my bill. The whole process lasted less than 30 minutes.

I had every intention of cancelling and no expectation of getting anything for free. The ladies really "WOWED" me.

Will it ever happen again? Who knows. But, it did this time. Thank you DirecTV!!

...and to think I used to feel guilty with some of the lame polls I used to start years ago... :D

Oh well, it was a nice, quiet time while it lasted.

I guess it'll be March 2009 before the footballers stop whining about Sunday Ticket again...they really should have a separate forum for this...
