or when DirecTV convienently "forgets" that you returned a reciver and they proceed to charge you $450 for it.Jhon69 said:Haven't had a problem with autopay yet.Used autopay with both Dish and DirecTV.The problem comes when the subscriber believes they can make a late payment. Then receive"special offers".![]()
Happened to me several times. Along with lots of other billing errors.Sirshagg said:or when DirecTV convienently "forgets" that you returned a reciver and they proceed to charge you $450 for it.
Regardless of autobill, if D* has a CC on file and you meet the failed to return receiver criteria you will be charged.Sirshagg said:or when DirecTV convienently "forgets" that you returned a reciver and they proceed to charge you $450 for it.
Which is why they don't get a credit card on file. I have no issue that they want to charge for a receiver not returned. I have a BIG issue with them charging for ones that ARE returned and then refusing to refund the money and instead insisting on giving it back as credit on the account once I prove they received it back.rahlquist said:Regardless of autobill, if D* has a CC on file and you meet the failed to return receiver criteria you will be charged.
Actually they will credit it back as a refund if you press them, it make take 4-10 weeks......Sirshagg said:Which is why they don't get a credit card on file. Much easier not to give them the opportunity.rahlquist said:Actually they will credit it back as a refund if you press them, it make take 4-10 weeks......
It would have been much easier, and probably cost effective if they had just gotten Kermit the Frog to sing "It's Not That Easy Being Green"Sirshagg said:Much easier not to give them the opportunity.
Never had that problem.Look forward to it.Sirshagg said:or when DirecTV convienently "forgets" that you returned a reciver and they proceed to charge you $450 for it.

Yes, but don't forget that DirecTV has your social security number and I believe in one of their agreements they grant themselves the right to do a credit check.rustynails said:They aren't getting my credit card for auto bill. I don't do this with any company. I will pay extra if I have to to keep companies from my credit card. In fact I do pay extra each month for my auto insurance. I don't trust them to keep my credit card number safe. There is entirely too much fraud and potential for abuse.

Same here. You would think we'd get rewarded for going paperless long before the offer came about.AirRocker said:It won't give me the 5 bucks because it says I enrolled before the promotion began... So since I've been doing them a favor longer, I'm not eligible...
