2 transponders on 119 are 0 while the rest are in the high 90s to 100

Shoot since Thursday all I get is 206 on my HR20-700. I was checking out the channels using the new format and got stuck on 206. Unit won't change channels or nothing from either the remote or the STB buttons.

After 2 days of talking and working with D* tech support only solution left they said was to replace the box. We tried unplugging, RBR many times and I even tried reloading the software but still can't watch anything but 206.

Asked D* to just charge me for 1 channel and they laughed.

I am in the same boat here. I am scheduled for a re-alignment next Saturday. Right now I am in the mid to high teens on 99c

UPDATE: My LNB was bad due to hail stone cracking one of the round white covers. Water got inside and did it damage. Replaced with a used LNB and now have 70+ readings on 99c.

Interesting...

Out of curiosity... what all troubleshooting steps did they have you do?

99 (a)

20s and 302 with a couple zeros
99 (b) 0 across the board

btw the other sats

103- (a) 0 should I bet getting anything?
103 -(b) 60s/70s
101 -90s
110- high 80s to mid 90s
119 the best 100s but 1 in the 50s

clouds are no issue and trees and to my south but far below the LOS

I have next week off from work I may tweak things a bit before calling

not a huge issue right now but I'd like to get it fixed by the time hd locals come on and the mpeg 2 HD channels go dark\

btw can someone explain tilt to me? I know it's the rotation of the dish like a car stearing wheel but is there a reference point on the mast?

I get azimuth is left to right of the dish while elevation is up and down

Litzdog911, don't forget tp 15 - 24 that are now showing at 99b/s which I do believe are the spots from D11.

On the back of the dish is a pointer/compass that tells you the degrees of tilt. That measurement is not as sensitive as the azimuth and elevation, so it does not have a fine tune adjustment like the other two do.

Sounds like your dish was peaked for 119 instead of 101 (or not double checked against 101.) And as if your tilt is off just a smidge.

Cheers,
Tom

Odd question but did you try changing your favorites list? I've seen at least one report recently where someones favorites list ended up being changed to just one channel and it caused these types of problems.

fixed it!!!!

now getting 80s to 90s across the board

not sure what I did maybe it was the elevation a bit low or the azimuth may have been a tad off
now if I can tighten everything without messing it up
also the mast was very slightly off plumb

now I can watch the mpeg4 channels with less rain fade issues :D
