Got my Harmony 880 just about the way I like it but I have a few questions for those who have mastered this device with the HR-20.

1. How do I set the remote to stop it from giving me what looks like key bounce when using the number buttons? This is an intermittent problem, depends on how accurately you press the buttons.

2. Do you set your 880 to just leave the HR-20 on all the time. It seems the HR-20 gets out of sync with the rest of the system easily. Should I just leave it on and stop attempting to go to standby?

3. Is there some way to manually select which device you are setting up instead of typing in a model number and the software picking it for you?

1. You can set the time delay in the remote in the My remote preference selection.

2. I turn the HR20 on/off with everything else. There has been others having issues with this as well. When selecting the model to use in the library, use HR20-700. This seems to have the best library entries for the default settings.

3. I use the web page to login and set my remotes at http://members.harmonyremote.com

This will let you go directly to devices to program instead of using the harmony software to login and paddle around in.

1. I did change the inter-key delay from 100 to 200 and it did affect some buttons like the channel up down button but it did not stop the keybounce effect on the number buttons. Any additional ideas.

2. The online or downloaded software does not allow you to pick (that I can find) a model from a list, you have to enter a model and it matches it to some database. Is there someway to manually select it so you know you have the correct device library?

3. I also use the web interface more, it seems to be less clunky.

The web interface is even better if you use Firefox and HarmonyMod. It lets you rearrange buttons easily and add 5 new buttons at a time.

HarmonyMod? Not familiar with that...

I just got the latest software (7.0.2), and it is great. No more of that website crap. A much more efficient way of doing things.
The latest software is 7.2.0 - if that's a typo on your part, you're golden, but 7.0.2 was a problematic release which caused the tilt sensor to be ignored.

Easy way to tell - do you have lowercase letters on your soft buttons now when they were all uppercase before? If so, you've got 7.2.0 - if not, get it.

I downloaded the latest version on the Logitech website and it installed as 7.0.1 and immediately updated itself to 7.0.2.

How and where do you find 7.2.0?

When I went to update the 880 about 2 weeks ago, it installed automatically. I think that it was really a firmware update, since it didn't change the desktop client software.

Yeah, I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing. This new software program let me customize my 880 without having to access the website, and it was much more user friendly.
