Third Time A Charm (upgrade) - Finally

Hello

After two previous trips and still no upgrade the third installer came yesterday and we're finally up and running with a new Dish and receivers. The whole ordeal started with the first and 129 being behind a tree which came down the following week anyway.

A week after that the second installer, a sub, came and it was a complete struggle all day. No bird-dog, a $5 signal reader, no digital compass/finder and three - four hours later no upgrade. I asked for a second opinion scheduled for Saturday which mysteriously got "cancelled". After a phone call and doing the whole re-order thing the third try was scheduled for the following Saturday.

I was worried the "3rd" one wouldn't know the whole story of what we went thru and I was right. I had to go over everything and he assured us one way or another we would be up and running. After 4 1/2 hours and three trips by his supervisor we were. We got a new Dish 1000.4 aimed at 70.7 & 61.5, a 612 & 211 thanks to a very good installer who did a outstanding job deserves the credit.

We're still playing with the new receivers and checking the channels. It's made the RPTV look new and our recently new Sony LCD look the way it should.
I've never seen a tennis court look that good and we don't even watch tennis. We checked Ice Age and Sherk 3 last night and the detail I'd say was on par with a normal DVD upconverted. So far the overall PQ on both sets has been better than thought. We'll be viewing the set(s) even more now. One Happy Dish couple.
