So they are trying to suck off the popularity of the Tina Fey's parody.
Hate to break it to you NBC, that show ran out of funny when drugs became a felony. You have had you little spurt of recent success, take it with pride and dignity. We have not forgotten you are on Saturday nights, we just don't care. This nights teaser proves it. It ain't funny. You should have stuck with the parody and gave us another 30 minutes of Fey.

i quit watching SNL a few years ago, but lately i've been watching some clips on hulu.com and they've got some that are pretty dang funny.

quite liked the Thursday show.

On Saturday's show I usually FF everything except the opening and the Weekend Update.

The Thursday show did that for me.

All well and good, but the announcement of SNL Thursday night shows happened prior to the Tina Fey parody of Gov. Palin. This was planned as a pre-election show for some time now.

And some of us still like SNL. Yes, it is hit and miss, but it always was.

Actually I think SNL does well on election years... in the last 12 years those have been the only times I've watched consistently. And come on... NBC is in such a pickle, you can't blame them for trying anything they can to get viewers on their former "must see" night.

I think they did a new/live SNL on Thursday, in 2004 or 2000 as well.
