I wish they would remove the time scale during slow motion and single frame advance/back. It serves no purpose and may block the part of the scene you are trying to look at.

For example, I am watching a football game and "reviewing" the play to see if a player fumbled. Guess where the area of interest is during single frame mode? Usually right under the useless time scale.

Anyone else bothered by this?

I wish they would just turn the time scale banner off during these trick modes.

Indeed, the time scale banner is most distracting. I don't mind if it appears briefly as a signal that trick mode has engaged, but the key word is briefly. (And only at the start of trick play. Continued slow mo and pause should not bring it back.)

Lastly, using the play button to "turn off the banner" doesn't help--turns off the trick play mode too.
