Tivo and Separator

My girlfriend wants to move her Phillips DSR6000 (DirectTV Dual Tuner TiVO) to her bedroom where she only has one cable. She had 2 cables running to the den. Is it possible to use a single cable with a separator at the end (similar to a Dish Network setup with a VIP622) or will I be forced to run a second cable?

Thanks for any help.

Nope. If you want two tuners active you will need two cable runs from the dish/multiswitch.
So the switch at the dish operates in a different way, huh? Too bad. Was just trying to save myself some trouble! Thanks.

Yep. DirecTV is talking about introducing a single-wire solution, but it will only work w/ newer receivers anyway, not the Tivos.
