Likely just a glitch. You can try doing the casual red button reset as well as refreshing that particular receiver online at DIRECTV.com. Moreover, what is the receiver model? I’m just checking to see if it’s a ‘modern’ receiver and not SD-only.

The feature is SUPPOSED to make channels you do not get appear in a lighter color in the guide. It often does not work, either showing in light a channel you do get, or more frequently showing in dark a channel you don’t.

It will clear itself up in a day or two. NBD.
