Just for fun, I decided to pull out the infrared thermometer and zap the left hand side panel of the 722 as it felt rather toasty.
If I shoot the beam into the guts of the machine, I see temps as high as 117ºF when the machine is idle.
So perhaps this one (the one that had the rolling reboot issue for most of yesterday) is overheating somehow.
(The receiver isn't enclosed in a cabinet and is open to the air on all sides and has 5" of air space above it.)
