I think "our episodes" are cut up and spliced together from pieces of "their episodes". That is, the BBCA episodes are different than the BBC episodes, so the "original air dates" can't really match up very well.
BBCA's site is probably the best source for this kind of info:

I think you may be surprised.Maverickster said:P.S. A Top Gear US hosted by Adam Corolla? Really?! That sounds like a horrible idea.
The seasons are out of sync. What we are getting as a 'new season' currently on BBCA is actually like 2 or 3+ years old, if not older. Basically they are back filling seasons we never had while waiting for new ones to become available. You'll notice that they are reviewing a lot of 'new' cars that are more than a few years old. IE: last night was an audi tt, a 350z, and a crossfire. Same a few weeks ago with the 'new and improved' boxter and caddi. Just look at how much younger they even look.Maverickster said:Compare the episode descriptions from TV.com for Top Gear (UK) to the descriptions from the BBCA site and you'll see what I mean about being very different episodes.

I see. That makes some sense. The last "new" season (this past spring) was relatively "new", though, as they were doing what looked to be the E92 M3, but you're right that the current "new" ones (this summer) are clearly badly out-of-date (and really, aren't even "in date" with one another).sunking said:The seasons are out of sync. Anyone that has watched the show knows that's not anywhere close to true.Mertzen said:And all the 'critique' pointed at the USA removed.
You can legitimately download every episode, uncut, on finalgear.com. You'll find your interest soaring.dreadlk said:This season has been very confusing for me! This mix and edit stuff is just not working and it certainly has made me lose some of my interest in Top Gear.
I believe the early ones (close to 4:3) were converted from PAL. Maybe the new ones are a PAL widescreen format?Ken S said:On another note...what format is the show being broadcast in. It's SD, but it's some kind of widescreen format.
