Do you have the B-Band Converters installed on your HR20? Try removing them.
Yes. The B-Band Converters are not really required until early 2007 when DirecTV's new Ka-band satellites go active. They seem to have a high failure rate, though, so try removing them. If that solves your problem, then contact DirecTV for replacement.Justinto said:If I took off the b-band converters, would I still get my local channels in HD? They are in Mpeg4
Very weird. Could be a hardware problem. Do you have other DirecTV Receivers? Do they show the same symptoms?Justinto said:I took off the bbc and found that there was little difference with them on or off. When I look at the transponder test grid, tuner 1 on sat 101 was sporadic. One time it showed zeros and the other time every other transponder was zero. Tuner 2 was strong all around. If I go to the signal strength meter test, both tuners lock on with strong signals in the 90s range on the sat 101 , then if I go back to the transponder grid, the numbers are strong on both tuners on sat 101.
