About twice a week, I go to sleep, turning off the TV, but leaving my HD DVR HR 20 - 100 on.
When I turn on the TV the next day, the tuner has changed to the DirecTV basics channel, 201.

No power outages.

Does this mean there was a software upgrade?

Any thoughts?

What channel are you leaving it on? At least on the SD receivers, the receiver will tune to channel 201 if whatever channel you are on disappears from the guide. I don't know if this is what the problem is since I can't think of any channels that are only available part-time in the guide. Even game-only SD RSN alternates and part-time shopping channels seem to now stay in the guide even when they aren't broadcasting (that's for SD only, I don't know if HD -1 RSN game channels are removed from the guide or not).

Sounds like a problem we had with the H20-100 about 3 or 4 software updates ago. Really annoying. It used to make the clock in the guide banner stay on screen as well.

Bet your leaving it on a -1 channel overnight.

It probably switches to channel 201 when directv puts a ppv movie up there after the game.

I have noticed the same thing.

I think it happens most when I leave a pre-recorded show running, then go play with my wii. when I return it is on 201.

I wonder if it has anything to do with turning off the reciever while it is playing something?

It happened to me when they move stations to another satellite.

This happens to me as well sometimes, especially on my Tivo R-10. I figured it was due to an overnight software upgrade.
