part of the change is we are moving to a new home and this would be in conjuction with it. I am considering both still but not sure that uverse is avail at the new home. I do like the number of channels for the money.
Internet is same as non uverse but up speed are usually 1 meg. (but I had that before uverse).
Total home dvr isnt out yet (been promised for some time) but seeing sign of current roll out!
Uverse has 2 hd stream and 2 sd streams (new upgrade)
Uverse has not been charging for additional tvs but believe new connections are getting charged. since att doesnt "move" current customers I may get those fees with a move .
Motorola boxes have issues.(audio sync, hdmi compatibility, dvr irratic operations) a receiver in our master bed needs resetting often sometimes multiple times in one evening. My understanding is cisco boxes dont have the problems but no guarantee of which we will get.
I love the ondemand part though, I have about 1,000 movies available for free, anytime but, new releases cost extra of course.
I think picture quality is somewhat lower than that of dish but far better than cable.
Uverse interactive features are nice, (yellowpages, flickr photos, weather, sports scores)
I read somewhere that trutv has an hd channel on comcast.
uverse doesnt use dish programming at all. though channels are organized similarly
no homezone software. homezone software is from 2wire who makes the uverse gateway but settops use microsoft windows CE and microsoft iptv software.
