I recently programmed the tv into my 625 remote. Everything is great except the volume if i hold the volume up it won't keep going up i have to hit it each time to increase/decrease. Is there any options to maybe fix this? The front of the tv will raise and lower rapidly and the samsung remote does as well, but was wanting to get the dish remote to go up and down the volume without hitting it one at a time.

Thanks
Mike

I have a Samsung plasma, and the remote does the same thing.

I have a Samsung DLP and the same thing happened to me. However, I kept trying the remote codes in the manual until I found one that works the volume like it should - up and down smoothly like the mfg remote. Keep trying all the codes. That helped me. The "auto-search" function for programming the codes found the first one that turned the TV on and off but the volume button had to be hit repeatedly to raise and lower volume. Kept entering the other codes until one works the TV to perfection. My suggestion, anyway.:)

Boy this would be great if I could get it to work. I tried Buffalo Bill's suggestion but without success. Did anyone else try it?

I have a 2 year old Samsung 46" DLP with a Dish 622 HD receiver. I tried each of the 29 Samsung TV codes listed in the 622 User's Guide -- 3 codes worked (turned set on/off and controlled volume) but in each case I have to repeatedly hit the volume button to increase/decrease the sound. Samsung remote allows the rapid increase/decrease with a single press of the volume button.

Buffalo Bill, would you mind sharing the code that worked for you? There's a fairly simple procedure to check the device code for each mode (TV, VCR and AUX). Refer to page 79, chapter 10 of the online 622 manual.

Thanks.

I just recently purchased a Samsung LCD HDTV Model LNS2651DX and programmed my vip622 Remote #2 to control it. When I hold down the volume control on the Sat remote the volume on TV continuously increments up/down respectively. I think I used code 758, but not positive, I have it underlined in the chart.

My Remote #1 also controls the volume on my Onkyo in continuous mode also.

Don't know if this adds anything of value to the conversation, but just want you to know it is possible for it to operate correctly.:)

Edit: Code 758 above is a typo.....I actually used code 738.

The code that finally worked for me was 738. My Samsung is 2 years old. Model HL-P5085W It's a 50" DLP set (the one with the built-in pedestal). My receiver is the 622, but I also got this code to work with my 942 as well. Good luck.

Thank you for the codes. I'll try both 758 and 738 when my new Sammy arives in a few weeks.

Thanks to Buffalo Bill and icmoney for posting the code that worked their Samsung HDTVs.

738 worked for my 46" Samsung DLP set as well. The code is listed in the DISH 622 manual (albeit next to last) and I thought I had tried them all last evening. My fingers must have been getting fatigued after trying the first 27 Samsung codes.
