I have no idea what an h.264 file is. I have supposedly the latest version of Tversity - 1.0.0.4 - and it is working well with both music and pictures through my HR20-700. I haven't tried video yet.west5648 said:

But then I had problems with play a h.264 file, so I decided to install the most recent build and the newest set of codecs as well. But now nothing works, and dont know if its the new version of Tversity or the codecs or some combination of the two. Just wondering if any has experienced this, or its just my stupid pc.
For some reason my HR20 isn't detecting tversity or vice versa today. Normally it pulls up the function just fine. Any suggestions? I have restarted tvserity sharing. I've restarted the PC.west5648 said:Well I finally got it all squared away, even got my h264 files working![]()
I may have answered my own question. I realized that the second 41952 connection was my Bluetooth dongle, not my dsl router. I disabled my Bluetooth network and restarted TVersity and Music, Photos, and More appeared on the menu.Rolando42 said:Media Share using TVersity is really flakey on my setup. With WMP11, I can power cycle PC or HR20 and the Music, Photos, and More option comes and goes as expected. With TVersity, it seems I get one connection per power cycle and the planets have to be aligned for that to occur. Right now, I am showing an established connection on port 41952 but it looks like it is local (localhost to mycomputername and vice versa). There are also several time_wait connections on 41952 between my pc and my dsl router. I have my Windows XP firewall configured as follows:
TVersity Media Server (application) -- scoped to Internet
Port 41952, both TCP and UDP -- scoped to subnet.
Port 10243, TCP -- scoped to subnet.
Ports 10280-10284, UDP -- scoped to subnet.
Port 2869, TCP -- scoped to subnet.
Port 1900, UDP-- scoped to subnet.
It's kind of frustrating because I have read lots of posts here where people seem to have more trouble with WMP. But TVersity's ability to transcode video on the fly is a must have capability so I would really like to get it to work.
Any ideas? TIA.
h264 files play without any conversion? I had downloaded a blueray dvd that was in a h264 format but I deleted it after multiple failed times trying to convert it.west5648 said:Well I finally got it all squared away, even got my h264 files working![]()
