Yikes! Love the hour and a half guide view. Makes DirecTVs seem longer, even if it's not. Is this being rolled out everywhere?

I'm assuming a setting isnt set wrong, and they really are just that incompetent.

Photo was from the ad in yesterday's Charlotte Observer, not a screen shot. It indicated a rollout in the area beginning 6/6. Friends had not gotten it yet. I think they have two brands of DVRs at least in this market, Cisco and SA ? (SA was older model, not sure if it's new HD.)

Time Warner Cable is advertising beginning today their new 'LOOK'. . . with all the whining and complaints we had, theirs isn't as good!

Its easy to forget that with all their warts and scars, we still are using the best DVRs out there, even if they are a little sluggish. Everyone other than DISH or DTV subs is living in a 3rd-world banana republic country, as far as DVRs are concerned. Do I need to include Tivo owners just to fend off a barage of flaming haters? OK, you guys are in, too. :)

Content wise I think you're right. The PIG is bigger, I think, and the old background was blue-grey.

I just called my friend to get a picture of the old one - he got the new gui last night! His first impression was it's more intuitive.

You mean that you don't show 3 hours in your guide? Dish has been doing it for years for HD, :D

Are you possibly referring to Motorola?
Not sure. I know he had a Motorola around 3-4 years ago for SD, then got a Scientific Atlanta for HD around 2 years ago.

Last month he added their 'MRV' and they brought out 2 boxes and ended up changing both 2 days later to Ciscos.

Needless to say I haven't been impressed with either or their PQ even after going digital. And the remotes are terrible.
