I currently have Directv and now seriously considering getting Dish Network.

I would like to possibly keep my Directv, add Dish Network and "share" the 4 coaxes coming from the dish into my prewired home. Is there anyway to do this ?

I would only turn the power on to one receiver at a time...never a reason for both being on.

If this is possible, please tell me what I would need.

Thanks in advance for any members help.

Keep in mind that (at least with a DVR) it is never really off. Even when in standby, it is still sending signals (DC voltage) to the dish, and getting signals from the dish.

What you might be able to do is use two lines for D* and two lines for E*, but then you would only be feeding one DVR, or two standard receivers, on one service (at least with D*).

Dish Pro Plus with dishnet only requires 1 coax to run their dual tuner reciever. You cannot share the coax with direct becouse there is always power on the coax. Recievers dont shut off they go into standby.
