I have two questions:

1) I'm getting the BSOD and the "would you like to delete this recording?" upon immediate playback.

Becuase I've had my unit for about 4 months and never had these issues before, I tended to gloss over the posts about this :), so my question is - is there absolutely nothing that can be done to salvage the "delete" error? I know the BSOD is a lost cause, but thought I read somewhere there was a chance to save a program with the other error?

2) ANyone else having issues with the HD Fox NOT showing up on the guide? If I manually enter it and/or I set up a SL, I can get it. Ordinarily I wouldn't care, but not having it on the guide makes it impossible to do a one-touch recording in HD.

For reference, I live in the SF Bay Area.

Help, anyone? Thanks!

1).. nope.. nothing you can do to salvage them, as underneath... they don't really exist.

2) Check your Favorite settings...

I had been getting Fox HD on the guide before, then it "disappeared" a few days ago; maybe it reset somehow....

I would just double check your favorites, and the "channels you receive" in your OTA settings.

Maybe re-run the ATSC Setup steps.

A couple of weeks ago my HR20 was showing that message when I tried to play back a recording from the previous night. I figured it would not play, so I deleted it. It showed it on a second recording from the previous night so I deleted it also.

Then I decided to try to play a recording from months earlier that had been playing fine. Surprise! It would not play either!

A red button reset restored the recordings that I had not already deleted. So, no, in some cases not all unplayable recording will be deleted with an RBR, because all recordings will sometimes be uplayable until the reset.

Hope this helps someone.

RE FSNBA HD:

They use a SPOT beam for that channel, and you have to be within a specific part fo San Francisco to get it (FSBA is my local here in NV, but according to the people at FSNBA, they do not send the HD signal beyond a very small footprint.) It could be that you are on the fringe of the SPOT section, and you had it once, but now it is gone. FSNBA has no idea why D* does it this way.
