I'd like to get peoples opinions on which software worked better (if at all) for LARGE music libraries, Twonky or WMP11... I have over 22k songs (110GB) that are all regular mp3's. I understand that WMP11 is free, but I don't mind paying for Twonky if it works better. I'm running Win XP Pro (32-bit) if it matters. Anyone use either of these with similar sized libraries or larger? Thanks... :)

For either solution, the key is in how you set up your playlists and organize your collection. Both should work well. Here is the thread with the steps I used to get my HR20 Networking up:

For $20 you can try it both ways.

So you really need to create playlists and not just import the entire library? I suspected that, but don't currently have any set-up. I normally just browse to whatever I want to list to by artist or album title...

I have been using Twonky with a 110gigs of music. The only issue I have seen is after each song plays, the transcoding takes an extra second or two and my Yamaha reciever's dolby dig lights blink on and off like 5 times really quick inbetween songs. I running the server on a Windows XP box, but i also have a Twonky on NSLU2 box with unsling 5.5. I cant get this to work because I dont know how to put the transcoding lame file into the CGI folder.
