Over at dish they are doing a buy 5 get one free for UFC events for like two hundred bucks. I would be intrested in a renewing UFC season ticket where you pay so much a month or upfront, at a reduced price than what it would cost to normally purchase the event.

I'm kind of surprised that UFC has not done this in the past or WWE for that matter, have a yearly or bi yearly season ticket!

That would be fantastic! I order every ufc ppv and have often wondered why there isn't such a plan. I also hate that it's $10 more for the HD ppv than the SD one. If we already pay the HD fee why should we have to pay $10 more to get something in HD?

Dana White is greedy, he's a huge cry baby if someone sees a PPV for free even thought a lot of the events are broadcast on cable around the world for free. Cry Baby He just sounds like a total ****** in that video comparing people that steal ppv to terrorists. What does the guy expect? We should feel bad for him cause he only had $150 million in his bank account?

He didn't call the people who watch streams of UFC events terrorists. He called the hackers terrorists. Get your facts straight before posting lies. And I don't blame him for calling out people that stream the events illegally. It's stealing and he's right to say something about it.

On an old message board I posted on one fella showing how absolutely clueless he was said UFC was better than WWE because the quality of illegal streams for UFC were always better.

After watching the Condit-Diaz interim title fight, I can see the reason why people feel ripped off when they actually order a UFC PPV and felt the need to watch through alternate means. If there are more fights like that one, people are going to stop not just ordering the PPV, but watching the UFC altogether.

BTW, even though I never met Dana White, he comes across as a real dirtbag. And I've read many articles that seem to substantiate it.

So if you owned something you would not mind people stealing it for free? As for his money, you have had the same chances to make it rich as he has, so don't hate him for being successful.

What was wrong with the Diaz-Condit fight? Fans on the mma boards loved it, as did I. The prelims and main card had a lot of good fights, certainly more than you get with a boxing ppv. This is not fake wrestling, you can't predetermine how a fight will go, if you want that you should try wwf.

People either like Dana or hate him, but there is absolutely no denying that mma would no be where it is today without him. If you want a straight-laced corporate face for the UFC you have Lorenzo. They balance each other out very well.

I didnt feel that the card was a ripoff. I didnt see any barn burners but they were good fights. The problem is newer people to MMA are used to boxing and other sports. They think every fight should end with a flash. In MMA sometimes its a ugly ground game or clinch war. You have to respect it all. I think hard core fans of MMA like myself liked the PPV just fine.

As for Dana, he is very passionate about his job. He does a ton for MMA. There are always gonna be people that hate him. As for his recent reasons people hate him it just reminds me of all the people that got mad at Metallica for taking legal action against Napster. Forgive Metallica and forgive Dana White if they dont want to work hard for free.

Yep, the mma forums will prove that too. Learning the ground game can take a long time. You have to learn submissions, submission defense, wrestling, sweeps, positions(guard, half gaurd, mount, side control ect..) then of course the difference between styles like BJJ and catch wrestling and so on, it can definitely be confusing for newer viewers.

The of course you have to learn about the cliche game, and dirty boxing, and all the different striking styles( muay thai, dutch kickboxing, karate, western boxing ect..). But once you learn them you can learn to appreciate almost every fight(even Jon Fitch ones:lol:)

Real amusing you say that, I grew up on both Boxing and Wrestling. While I love the sport itself, there are several things wrong with the business side of boxing. And if you actually think I would buy a UFC PPV expecting something predetermined, I don't know about you, but I have a little more sense than that.

I didn't start watching, nor have heard of MMA until late 2005 when I first moved to Vegas. And I could never say that I am a UFC junkie (meaning the type that lives and breathes), but I have ordered a hell of a lot of pay per views though and the reason why I initially posted on this thread is because I would be interested in a UFC Season ticket concept.

UFC 143 was pretty good sans the main event, hence the reason for my previous post. My argument was while I would rarely throw a fit over a $55 PPV, there are -still- many casual observers that may have seen something wrong with Condit putting up a Floyd Mayweather type performance. And they, rightfully so have felt ripped off and resort to complaining to Dana White via Twitter and he just blew them off. Classy way to gain new fans.

My bad sopa supporter. Thank you so much for correcting me. Maybe you should join the military so you can go after these terrorists. Thank goodness your not a judge, you would be sentencing the hackers to death.

Your 100% correct, I think Dana is very smart if it wasn't for him UFC wouldn't be where it is today. I'm just not going to feel bad for someone like that who makes himself look like a total ****** in the video. Comparing people that take down a website to a terrorist is just outrageous. Not sure how you compare someone that runs a plane into the world trade center to someone who takes down your website for a few hours.

I didn't read what Dana White said, but if he did say something about people getting illegal streams he has every right to do so. They aren't terrorists but they ARE in fact stealing a product when it's to be purchased in the USA.

Yes I agree it is stealing and he has a right to be upset but you shouldn't go on camera and make an @$$ of yourself.

If D* and UFC/WWE offered something like this I'd be all over it.

Me and a group of friends get together every month and watch the given WWE ppv each month and if they offered this we would finally be able to have a ppv spot and not worry about ordering at a given house (I'm the only one with Satellite, they all have cable) cause we'd be authorized thanks to the Season Ticket (I'm the only techie out the group)

With a Season Ticket for both promotions I'd save a few bucks and I'd recommend any wrestling/MMA loving friends of mine to order the package as well. D* could rake in a lot of business with this with them being the "Sports Leader" and all

I would like to see the buy rate of individual PPV's over the course of one year before I could put a number on a yearly price. Not many would go for $800 for a years worth of UFC PPVs, especially if there wouldn't be any cancellations permitted.

I think the best you'll get with that is what they've done in the past with preordering 3 or 4 and saving $15-$20.

If UFC and WWE wouldnt be so dang high people wouldnt have to go on the internet and steal.
half the fans complain because they say the fighters don't get paid enough, and the other half complains that they charge too much. no matter what they do half the people are going to complain. nowdays you can get TONS of free mma on FUEL, FX, FOX AND HDNET, so if you don't want to pay for a ppv you can still see lots of mma.
