I have an HR20 installed in my lv room. However I am unable to record a show and watch live T.V. on another channel/record two shows at once in the lv room. Thus I am missing some of my recordings, etc.


I have checked all connections and they seem to be in tact. Tuner two is weak on all sats. Could this be an alignment issue?? If so why am I receiving such high readings on tuner 1?????

Here are my numbers on both recivers from the lv room connection:

Try swapping the cables on the rear of your receiver and see if the low readings stay with tuner 2 or move to tuner 1.

Now, it sounds like you have a bad cable or bad BBC. If you swap the cables or BBCs, do the numbers swap also?

Does a restart fix it?

I have an HR20-700 that has a fairly consistent problem with tuner 1 losing all transponders after rain fade. A restart consistently fixes it, leading me to believe that it's software and not hardware.

O.K. Now I am realllly confused. I swapped the cables (without disconnecting the bbc's and now my readings look like this:

Still cannot record and watch live tv. Repeated sat. setup, same respons. Hard reset the reciever. Same response.

This is not making sense now!! Help! Thanks guys!!

anything at all on your tv. might be HDMI, try different connections to the tv
