I was curious if anyone knows if there is a difference between these two under the eve mounts. One is model SLMTUE the other is DTVUEM. I ordered the SLMTUE from Solid Signal but it looked different from what a neighbor in my apartment complex had installed so I looked further on solid signals website and found the DTVUEM (that one looked exactly like my neighbor's mount).... and ordered it however when i got it today discovered what they sent me was just another SLMTUE. If u look at their website pics of these two mounts they look different to me so that's why I ordered the DTVUEM b/c i need something that mounts then goes straight out from the wall then angles up. The DTVUEM in the pics on solid signal seem to do that .........but the SLMTUE looks like the mounting pole just goes at at like a 45 degree angle right from the mount.

I called them when i got the mount today and explained to them I got the wrong model. The mount even looked different on the two sets of instructions yet the two mounts they sent me were identical. Spoke to a guy named Scott at Solid Signal and he put in a replacement order for me. But then 10 minutes later he called me back and he said he spoke with a supervisor that told him the two mounts are exactly the same. I explained to him maybe look at their own website's pictures b/c they dont look the same at all. Then i informed him well if it is the same mount then that's deceptive and why advertise both and make them look different?? Of course no response to that feedback! Just said they were going to investigate it further and get back to me before they send me out anything.

Here are the links to the two mounts. U guys tell me if these two mounts are the same or different.

Well if it's a different manufacturer how come the SLMTUE and the DTVUEM they sent me both had the same part number on the mount??? If they come from different companies (even though it might be the same) then shouldnt the part number be different?

Hard for me to look at the part number on my neighbors mount we live in a 2 story apartment complex and the dishes are mounted on wall mounts under the eve 2 stories up.

They're the same thing. DirecTV changes the part number for things every once in a while. For instance, SWS is not the part number for splitters anymore. AU9 is not the part number for a Slimline ODU.

I thought the SWS splitters were not MRV certified while the SPLITx splitters were.

They changed to that modeling before they went green labeled and MRV certified.

I know you can still get the SWS splitters for MFH SYSTEMS.
True, maybe that's a better example. Looking into it a little further, it looks like the splitters where split into two groups slightly before MRV hit. SWS became MDUSPLIT, and splitters looking closer to what is used today were introduced called SPLIT. After MRV was introduced the residential splitters became green labeled and called MSPLIT.

Basically, the difference between the two mounts mentioned by the OP is one is old and one is new with only minor changes. If someone were to ask for an SWS-2 today, one would receive an MSPLIT2.
