Helluva job! Looking forward to the TiVo to HR20 doc. For what it's worth, my wife is starting to like the HR20 more than the TiVos she's been using for years. Her only question/complaint.... and I kid you not......

"Whadda ya mean there's no dual tuners?" :D
Thank you for the work you done on this. Very helpful.
Thank you. I was wondering how to set up default recording options for series links.
Looks good, although I only glanced over it
The only immediate feedback I can give other than "good job" is that there's a typo on the first page, under "Remote Control Basics." You have the HR20 listed as the HD20. Otherwise, looks good.
D*TV needs to hire you immediately to do their documentation!
I found and will correct the place where I typed HD instead of HD. Thanks for the catch! -Craig

Looked at and printed the pages. Much better explanation than the user manual.
Got a question though. WHen you set a recording you usually get the red R or Red R and the series icons. WHat does it mean when the red circle has a x in it and a star and how can you get rid of it?

Also, I tried recording a program either series or by itself and when I check in to do list, priortizizer it shows none scheduled. Can't change it to scheduled. WHen checking to see if it conflicts with another higher priority, it doesn't. Confused.:nono:

Nice job. I can throw out my users manual now.:)
I second that!

This is my new manual.

Thanx Milominderbinder2, you did what many of us searched for but could not find in the "official" version.

Thanx to Earl for making this a sticky.

I have spent the past weeks digging through thousands of posts from dbstalk.com. I looked for Tips and Tricks for using the HR-20. Since some of the tips for the H-20 and other units also apply, I went through those as well....
Great job.....found one you missed that was posted I use all the time.

Hit GUIDE Button twice and goes directly to channel listing.

Craig, you did a great job on this and I'm sure everyone will be printing and using this document. Thanks for taking the time to read and compile all the tricks and tips.
Thanks. Great work. Can't wait for the HR10-250 Tips.

Super! I'm printing a copy now for my family's use, and I'll stick a copy in the owner's manual, too.

Just keeps getting better......thanks for the initiative !
Great guide! But the FF and RW only go to 3X on 3 pushes and do not return to play on a 5th push. At least not for me. I liked this feature on Tivo very much. Miss it on HR20.
Great document!

But I can't get one function to work as described on my machine. When I record two programs at once, pause both and toggle back and forth between them with the previous button, they start live rather than paused. I've been playing around with this and the only way I've been able to get back to a program being recorded at the place I left off is to watch it off the myvod screen and make sure to return to it via the myvod screen.
