Tonight I tried to play Heroes (NBC HD Reno KRNV 4), and like 4 out of 5 recordings of Heroes, I got the immediate "delete" option, therefore the unwatchable bug. I selected "no." Then I pressed select on "Play" and IMMEDIATELY started holding the rewind button. After less than a second, the show started playing from the beginning, and played fine for the whole recording!

If anyone can duplicate this experience, we might have a workaround (or I just got lucky this time).

I tried something like that but I used FF which didn't work. Next time, I'll have to try rewind.

My workaround is HR10-250, alas.

I have had the same thing happen. I did hit FF in like 3x mode and let it go for a bit. Then it popped in like 3 minutes into it. I then rewound it and watched it fine from the beginning.

Perhaps this only works if the recording is one that might survive a reboot. My unwatchable did not, gone poof when I rebooted.

I was able to the the 2 recording I had like this to play by just repeated attempts to play them. One played on the second attempt and the other took 4 tries.
