It's a glitch...both of those markets are still launchingJonSamuels said:Des Moines, IA is no longer on the list for HD locals.
Cedar Rapids/Waterloo, IA already has their HD locals. They are listed in both the "Current HD Local Markets" column and the "Upcoming HD Local Market Launches" column.
Any chance someone screwed up and put Cedar Rapids/Waterloo instead of Des Moines in the "Upcoming" column?
Good to know Des Moines is still on the list and they aren't going to pass us over like they did in 2006.Satelliteracer said:It's a glitch...both of those markets are still launching
For clarification, Cedar Rapids/Waterloo have local CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates currently, but we are missing our local ABC and CW.JonSamuels said:Good to know Des Moines is still on the list and they aren't going to pass us over like they did in 2006.
I thought Cedar Rapids/Waterloo launched quite some time ago...maybe I'm wrong.
Now that I think about it, I bet Satelliteracer was referring to Des Moines and El Paso still launching (per merchione's post) instead of Des Moines and Cedar Rapids/Waterloo.Balestrom said:For clarification, Cedar Rapids/Waterloo have local CBS, NBC and Fox affiliates currently, but we are missing our local ABC and CW.
I assume this means that DirecTV will be adding one or both of the missing affiliates on the 8th?
I was wondering the same thing. I find it interesting that Tri-Cities isn't even mentioned on the current list. I really would like to have at least the big 3. What's funny is I don't really watch CBS. I mainly watch NBC and then ABC when Lost starts back up so I'm still having to use my OTA for shows like Heroes.JLester said:Any idea on what is going on with Tri-Cities, TN-VA (#91)? We are currently a 72.5 area. We started receiving WJHL (CBS) in HD last weekend. The other local channels all now appear twice in the program guide, once for SD and once for HD. Both listings show only SD though. The newer channels look better, I assume they are the MPEG4 version. I do not understand why WJHL is now in HD and the others are not. We do not appear on any of the lists I have seen for HD. I am not complaining about getting WJHL in HD, but CBS is my least watched network of all.
Thanks,
Jason

This link does not really help me. It shows HD locals and not the SD locals coming. I dont care if they are in HD or SD I just want my locals.Satelliteracer said:Here you go everyone, some updates
