UPN passed on The Dead Zone for "Haunted" or "The Twilight Zone"?

Sheesh. Looking at the promo stuff for Haunted, I think I would have taken The Dead Zone.

But oh well, The Dead Zone deserves to be on the USA Networks. Much bigger audience available. (Not all markets have a UPN affiliate.)

how many "new" twilight zones will they try to make until they realize that rod serling is dead and they can't improve on the original(i know..i know...carol has to rebuild up her bank account every few years, but still...)
