So has anyone else seen the "URGENT" immediate action needed flyer regarding Sunday Ticket Superfan and the HD upgrade needed? More importantly has anyone been able to get the free upgrade it tells you about?

Basically it tells you call soon to schedule an appointment for a free HD equipment upgrade with free installation if you have something other then a H/HR 20/21 on an HD tv and want to see HD games this NFL season.

Well I did call, and they told me my Tivo HD DVR in my bedroom would need to be upgraded and they put me on hold for 15 minutes. They came back and told me their system wouldn't allow them to do the free upgrade and they had no idea what flyer I was talking about. They suggested I call back in a week or so when their system "may" be updated.

I wish someday DirecTV's left hand would know what it's right hand was doing.

Yep. Got an e-mail about 3 weeks ago, called the number and they upgraded my HR-10 free (again). Installed on Monday. Took 15 minutes. The now have an on screen authorization.:D

Guess I forgot to mention that part... it was sent in the mail and arrived in my mailbox today. It came in a Sunday Ticket "kit" or something along those lines. A nice shiny black envelope with a letter talking about Sunday Ticket in 2008 and how much it's costing to renew. Along with that was this URGENT flyer about the need for the HD upgrade.

So do you currently have an HR2x or an H2x?





(...he asks, knowing that he will be hammered with posts by people that say "I already did, but I got a free upgrade and it didn't matter" in about 5 different ways from Sunday). :grin:
