I talked to a CSR in the advanced technology department today. They stated the the USB port on the HR-20, once enabled, will allow the user to control all the recievers in your house and for home networking. The rep was unable to give a time frame. I am wondering if anyone else has heard any details with regard to the future uses of the USB port.

BTW, I am a very happy HR20 user at this time

Right now.

The only "mentioned" as a used for the USB ports, is the eventual DirecTV2Go feature... that will allow you to connect portable devices and get content from teh HR20 (and R15).

That's what the Ethernet port is for, not USB. USB is for DirecTV2Go, as Earl mentioned above.
