I just had a new install completed yesterday with all new receivers that are connected via SWIM. I have a couple of old HD receivers (H20 & H22) that I am contemplating adding to my setup, but I do not want MRV on these receivers (they will actually be used in a media room for additional monitors I have).

Can I still use these receivers in the setup I have described? Will I have to use the B-band converters on these receivers?

They will both work. If you don't want to use MRV with them, that is fine, but you will need a Band Stop Filter (BSF) on the coax to each one. If you do decide to eventually add them to MRV, the H22 will need a DECA, but the H20 will need to be replaced as it is not compatible with Whole Home ( no Ethernet jack).

The "H22" isn't SWM compatible and it dosen't have an ethernet jack. ;)

 Good catch. Always forget they skipped that number.

I assume the OP meant either a H21, H23, or a HR22 then. All of them would be fine on SWM and can handle MRV with a DECA. :)

Thanks for the info. I am getting my H23 re-activated at no fee for the card and they are providing the DECA as well.
