How many times has this happened? Was this just on OTA channels? I have noticed that the error recovery routines in Dish software, when it comes to losing the signal, especially the OTA signal, isn't very reliable. It seems to affect other functions as you describe. Unless I'm recording something I must have, I usually do a front panel reset when this happens.
