I have two ViP 622s. Each of them has an ongoing problem of not deleting the excess recordings. For example, if I set up the same show to be recorded everyday, with a maximum of five episodes, the 622 will exceed the number and I may end up with six, seven, or more. This does not occur all the time, but it occurs enough to be annoying. Can anything be done to correct this?

Try cold reboot - disconnect power cord for 1/2 min; it will force do HDD file system's check/repair.
