Just had this installed last week. One night it kept switching channels up/down/prev, even turned itself off once. Really frustrating. Never had this problem with the ViP211.

Could that new UHF or RF or whatever antenna thing on the back be picking up something that isn't my remote? Is it ok to just disconnect the antenna? I'm using a Logitech 880 Harmony IR remote anyways.

What else could it be?

Yes, this happens all the time. If you aren't using the RF remote you can remove the antenna on the back of the receiver. You can also change the frequency used for the RF remote. The procedure is in the manual.

In other words someone nearby also has Dishnetwork and their remote is set to the address as yous. As was said if using IR only pull the antenna. Especially before they buy that expensive PPV.
