Turned on my TV about 20 minutes ago, hit the "select" button on my 612 remote to power up the reciever from the "You've been turbocharged" stand-by screen.
I have a simple 2 word message on that stand-by screen....."please wait...."
I've been waiting near 25 minutes so far.
First time for this since installation of my 612.
Thinking I should do a front panel reset but don't want to interrupt something important.
Ideas or advice ?

If it is just saying please wait and it is still at that state my guess is that the box has locked up. I would do a front panel reset.

After a half hour of "please wait" I did just that and box is up & running again.

Could be Jim, but the box worked fine this morning before I went to work. Problem occured about 6pm.
I thought all updates were done in the wee hours of the morning.

Both of our 612 receivers did the same thing. I did a front panel reboot and they are back to normal.

Any time the receiver is powered off (in stand-by mode really), if there is an update, they can get it. we hours of the morning is just when the receiver shuts itself down to make sure it gets updates.

I turned my 612 on this morning and saw the same "Please Wait". first time that has happened

I also saw this message... Perhaps something came down the stream that cause the box to lockup. My guess is this is a one time event and should not happen multiple times.

Maybe it's dishes acknowledgement that turbo HD really isn't turbo HD yet and "please wait" ;-)

I got the same message and did a reboot.

I believe it was a one-time issue with the feed. Is anyone still seeing the issue ?

I saw it only the one time as well (so far at least).

I only had this problem once the day I started this thread.
My 612 is fine since.

Same thing happened the other day to me. After about five minutes of "Please wait" I held down the power button and did a reset. It has been fine since.
