vip612 recording help

im trying record deadliest catch. (hd station)

and no matter which way i try to get the show recorded it the icon on the tv guide is a light blue clock with a number two. from previous failed attempts i have noticed it won't record when that icon shows...

1) why is it showing that icon?
2) what method should i use to record in order to avoid this issue again

Try setting up another channel to record at the same time first, then program the channel to record Deadliest Catch, see if it forces it to tuner #1 instead of tuner #2.

It sounds like there might be a problem with your Tuner #2. Can you record other programs off the same channel on tuner #2?
