Sunday I was watching a few sports programs and had my 722 set up this way: Running Single Mode:
I tuned to channel 139. Then I tuned to channel 239. Pressed Recall and toggled between 139 and 239.
Swapped tuners and tuned to channel 420. Then I tuned to channel 2. Pressed Recall and toggled between 420 and 2.
So far, so good.
Swapped tuners and was viewing channel 139. Pressed Recall expecting to see channel 239 and it recalled channel 2 which should have been on the other tuner.
After screwing with this for a while, I determined the receiver will not do what I wanted. It only “remembers” three channels between the two tuners and not four. I do not remember doing this before but could see no reason why it shouldn’t work.
Can someone try this on their 622/722 to see if they are able to do it and reply back?
Many thanks.

Tulsa,
Following your directions..single mode, presumably with no other recordings in progress, my 722 behaved as would be expected.
First tuner recalled between 139 and 239
Second tuner (swapped) recalled between 420 and 2.

I swapped the tuners 4 times, with each swap, they remained tuned to their specified channels, and each time, the recall followed the channels for that particular tuner.

An interesting note, Sunday night, I too was viewing sporting events, using both tuners. On one tuner, I was recalling between two channels, and then swapping to view a 3rd channel...I recall having an issue getting it to function as I expected it would, but never tested it further, I just opted to manually enter the 3rd channel when I wanted to view it. I was more interested in the events, than I was in trying to figure out why it was not functioning as I thought it would.

In my case I was also watching 139, 418 (my local FSN RSN), and channel 2.
I just tried tonight, what I was trying to do Sunday night, and now it functions as expected.

Hmmm...huh?

Nope, I can confirm the original poster's experience:

1) Watch tuner 1, tune to 200, then to 203. Recall flips between 200 and 203. Leave on 200.

2) Press swap to go to tuner 2. Say tuner 2 was on 300, now tune to say channel 183, and swap between 183 and 300. Leave on 300.

3) Press swap to return to tuner 1. Recall will now flip between 200 and 183 on tuner 1, not between 200 and 203.

Essentially when you enter a third channel, swap will jump back to whatever the last channel viewed was, regardless of which tuner you viewed it on.

Yeap.. I can confirm your experience TulsaOK. Actually I have never done this test so I am sure if this is how it works from day one but I do agree with your expectations on how you would think it would work. I am going to play with this a bit more given it is late and I need some rest, but figured I would give it a quick try.

That's what I ended up doing as well. Not a big deal, just a little puzzling.
