I don't know my download speed but the HR 22 is hard wired to my router.

fwiw, they are large files. an hd vod takes longer than an sd vod of course.
it all depends on the file your downloading and your internet conenction speed.

I have a 6 mbps DSL and I can download SD basically in real time, in other words I can start a download and immediately begin watching it. HD downloads seem to vary, the best speed I have gotten is a two hour movie in about three hours, I can usually begin watching about 20 minutes after the download starts. Some HD programming is much slower. By my measurements most downloads are throttled at 3-4 mbps download speeds.
