I didn't see any announcement, but WABC NY has joined WNBC in broadcast local news in HD.

Yes.. I posted something about this a half hour before you somewhere else here.

They are not even talking about it on the channel. WNBC made a big deal out of it when they started but this channel has not said one word that I know of. WNBC always has that big "HD" somewhere on the screen as well. WABC-DT has no on screen note of it whatsoever.

I also noticed a lot of a/v sync issues earlier in tonights 5 - 6:30 broadcast but it was better near the end.

They should re-think the background behind the anchor desk. That looks bad.

Now we need wcbs to join also- they were the first one with a lot of HD but lately are starting to fall behind

Although CBS was the first net to do their primetime lineup in HD, they are the
only one of the three major nets that still broadcasts their morning show in SD.
