Wall plate

Quick, probably easy question...

Will this wall plate work with the HR20? I originally went to Home Depot and bought one but last time I had a tech out, he told me not to use it with these higher frequency cables. I've been searching all over the net and this seems to be the only one that says it's high frequency. Some input would be appreciated, thanks

Yes, it should work fine. I've used similar plates from Radio Shack, Home Depot, etc., and never had a problem. Any signal loss through these should be very minimal.

I'm using a wallplate that was bought from Lowes and includes RF as well as speaker connectors and it works great. No problems. Go for it.

I use a plate from Home Depot (Leviton?), no problems. The installer didn't mention anything either. I like theirs since I can throw satellite, antenna, ethernet, and phone all on the same panel.

I did the same- you can switch out what you want/need with the leviton ones. Very nice to have the flexibility, plus extra ports in case you upgrade.

Yes, the Leviton QuickPort stuff is definitely the way to go. Readily available at any Home Depot.

I've never hear of needing a certain wallplate to pass a certain band frequency signals.

It's just a coax cable union adapter attached to a hunk of plastic.

It sounds like the tech was trying to 'sell' you... I've used the Leviton QuickPort for all my Home cabling and the flexibility (tv, phone, data, speaker) is great.

Yeah, it was the Leviton one that I had and he told me it wasn't right. He took it too.... hmm now that I think about it, he probably said that to steal it from me... jeez oh well, back to Home Depot
