I have a 500 system with a VIP 722 DVR. I would like to add a receiver to my system. What type of multiswitch will do the job.

Thanks
Angelo
Need more info, what type lnb do you have? Is there one or two coax lines going to the receiver?

Iam Sorry,

I have 1 line split to 2, to receiver .

Angelo
OK, that sounds more like DishProPlus and a DPP Separator (splitters do not work with Dish Network Equipment. All you would need to do is to run a line from the lnb (there are two or three outputs and you are only using one) to the location of the new receiver. If it happens to be a dual tuner receiver, you would use a separator (which should come with the receiver). Run a check switch, all Dish to activate and you should be done.

The DPP Twin LNB has 2 output ports (and one input port for a wing dish). Each of the two output ports will support a single- or a dual-tuner receiver, the latter in conjunction with a DPP Separator, which is included with every dual-tuner receiver.

Simply run a coax from the unusued output port on the LNB into the receiver (or to the Separator) and you're all set.

You also need another dish pointed at 61.5° to get Albany HD locals and most of the national HD channels.
