seems to be a problem across the board. I've noticed it on Directv, DISH, Comcast HD, SD, it doesn't seem to matter. Drive me nuts! It sure does. Watch a baseball game about a month ago where the crack of the bat and commentary was delayed about 5 seconds. Where are my pills !!!!!
Weather Channel HD Lip Sync Issue
Late yesterday afternoon and early this morning I noticed a pretty significant lip sync issue with The Weather Channel HD. The audio was coming in ahead of the video by a good half second or more.
I'm wondering if this may be an issue with how the HD channel is being broadcast because the problem is showing up with my ViP722 receiver being connected directly to my Sony KDL52XBR4 via HDMI. The lip sync problem is showing up over the TV speakers. None of the other channels are behaving like this.
BTW, the signal dropout issues I had been seeing last weekend with HBO HD have largely disappeared.
Perhaps there's a lot of tinkering going on with satellite settings in advance of the new channels fixing to be rolled out to customers. I can't help but wonder if some of the little problems I'm seeing might be related to that.
