I'm getting some weird ghosting on 7HD in San Francisco. The colors seem seperated and not synced together. This isn't visable on the OTA channel 7-1.

I'm using a Hr20 w/ HDMI to a Philips plasma.

Its been like that for 2 days. Chroma is ahead of luminance by 1/4 second and other distortions. A DirecTV encoder problem.

Also KRON4 HD San Fran radiates the subchannel on DirecTV - a file server of mostly HD Net demos loaded 2 years ago. Been like that as long as I have noticed 2 weeks ago. It might be easier to ask for them to screw up more and put up the matching guide information but that requires skill.

2 Bay Area HD channels dud and counting.

I don't think DirecTV cares. Time to call and ask for a credit. That might cause them to waken the incompetent QA staff just long enough to blame the TV station.

Then there's the 14-20 dB audio variations

Does anyone actually watch this?

I saw this thread and tuned into the KGO MPEG-4 feed to check this out. Hooo! That is some UGLY stuff. You say it's been like this for two days? Unbelievable.

Are the "Red" & "Blue" colors separating? Happened down here in So. Cal about 2 wks. ago... Looks great now! I thought it was the station upgrading there HD equipment...

I am seeing the same issue. Just noticed it last night. I hope DirecTV resolves this soon. I don't want to see the Rose Bowl Game with this picture state.

maybe I can pull out the old 3-D glasses and see what it looks like. You would think They could fix the problem in 2 days.

I watched Dick Clark las night and almost tossed my cookies it looked so bad, the wine I hand didn't help! I looked on my HR10 and was fine but not in HD, the HD OTA was ok so it's only the DTV feed. I almost did a reboot, thank god I saw this post.

It appears to be fixed for me, finally. I hope it stays this way through the Rose Bowl.
