I just started noticing that on some of my High Def channels the Dolby Digital works perfect and then on others it is missing the Center channel. So, instead of the voices coming from the Center they are coming from Front speakers. I went to the local CBS channel and it sounds perfect, I go to the UHD channel and their is no center speaker. My Yamaha receiver sees it as Dolby Digital its just missing the center.

I have 0X10B software, audio is running through the optical cable. I've rebooted and tried the Yellow button but it was no help.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Rich

Sometimes a broadcaster will send 2-channel (stereo) source material this way using only 2 channels of the DD 5.1 channels. The result is your decoder (rcvr/amp) thinks it's receiving DD 5.1 but only the left front and right front channels contain data. To achieve 5.1 channel effect change your receiver input to PCM or analog and use Dolby Pro Logic II decoding.
