Now that we're almost 2 years into the change to SonicTap, I'm curious what everyone's favorite music channels are on SonicTap?

My new favorite is Metro Blend (ch 853) since I do a lot of work/writing from home, and it's not too distracting like the rock stuff. I also like Light Classical (ch 866), but that gets a little dull after a while.

What's the difference between Classic Rock and Classic Rock Workout?

It kinda stinks that DTV puts so many music channels in the higher packages, I'd love to have the holiday channel and Flashback/New Wave channel. I've considered upgrading my package just for them, which I guess is the reason they put them there. lol

They All SUCK so I just use SONOS to listen to my ITUNES Greatest Jazz Tunes via my Klipsch Reference Series Speakers with an SVS Dual 12" Downward Firing Subwoofers and I Am Good To Go!!!

None of them. No bass, compressed, and sounds like hell. Pandora and XM for me.

You think SonicTap sounds compressed and XM doesn't? I couldn't have a more opposite opinion.

None. They're horrible. They sound horrible. They're programmed horribly.

IMHO, they're a black spot on DirecTV's otherwise excellent service.

Channel 820, Beautiful Instrumentals. I like tuning to that channel to listen to before leaving for work. It can be relaxing for just a bit before starting the workday.

Hmm, thanks for the rec. I hadn't noticed that one before. I'll have to check it out.

I think the channels are programmed very well. DTV has chosen to ruin the experience with lousy sound quality. It sounds like 64 kbps to me.

Someone else said that, too. But it sounds great to me. Way better than my XM radio I just gave up on because of the horrible compression. What kind of setup are you listening through?

I've never really listened to it myself, but my maid loves Classic Rock (833), and my gf listened to Reality Bites (838) once and seemed to like it.
