Have you visited http://www.dishnetwork.com? The deal is pretty well documented there. The only other option is to do the "Club Dish" program which pays your startup fee up front (it would be refunded anyway).

If you're familiar with trying to milk DirecTV, that doesn't happen so much at Dish Network. There are no "cut the cable" offers from the satellite companies at this time.

Make sure that you read the Residential Customer Agreement so you fully understand your responsibilities with respect to telephone lines and other seemingly unrelated stuff.
