Ever go to an pro-Xbox site, or Gamecube or PS2 site for that matter? Some people on the forum boards seem to think *that* system is the best for *x* amount or reasons, and *x* amount of reasons the other's just plain suck. Then it turns into an all out war on that topic?

Well, seeing how this is a Dish and DirecTV web site and forum, people here get along and doesn't seem to be trouble. So, let's see what you think is the "best" system. I mean, there has to be people with game system's here.

With myself I have an Xbox, Gamecube, PS2, and SEGA Genesis. All hooked up to my 19" Mono TV (no Directv is in the living room on the DD 5.1). I would put some pics up, but I don't have a digital camera.

Anyway, I guess I would have to go with Xbox. Only because it has more or the games I want right now. Halo, Hunter, Crazy Taxi 3, DOA3. Plus more coming out later this year. But I guess I also have to go with Gamecube, I have Mario Sunshine on pre-order. "Clean is better than dirty. Dirty is meaner than clean" Yeah..

You mean some one besides me still has a Genesis? :D Well actually I have two complete systems. From what Ive seen and read it would have to say either PS2 or Xbox. Both have games that I would like, first person shooter, and basically any racing or action games.

One of the guys from the Screen Savers on TechTV, build an ultimate gaming box. It was basically a hugh PC tower with a Game Cube, XBox, Sony PS2, Sega Dreamcast (I think) and an old Atari, along with a PC CPU. He wired this thing up by him self with switchs and everything. Very cool unit!

I just went through this issue with my son. He had an N64 and based on playing Nintendo games he chose GameCube.
I really didn't see much difference in the graphics, all 3 were nice, based on XBox, PS2 and GC.

I first sold my Genesis when I got a PlayStation (1 1/2 after it was out). Then right before summer I wanted to get one again. I wanted to play the old Sonic games. So I found a deal on ebay that had four Sonic games. So, I bought it. To be honest, at times I play that more then the Xbox, PS2, or Gamecube.

I saw the game unit on TechTV too. Also saw it on there website, don't remember a Dreamcast being in it though. Maybe I am wrong. Still it was cool.

With playing Nintendo games Gamecube is the best over all, becuase they are only going to be on Gamecube. Mario, Star Fox, Zelda, the list goes on. That's the main reason I got the Gamecube was for Nintendo only games.

I still have my Genesis. Only two games NHL 94 and Herzog Zwei. The two best games ever created. :D

That said I do have an X-cube and PS2. I can't wait until Madden comes out so I can play my brother in San Diego over the internet on our PS2s.

I think Xbox is the best console, but if you are into software writing, or looking for a cheap MP3 player to hookup to your home stereo Dreamcast is the way to go. You can get them for $50, and play mp3s on it.

Well it will be interesting to see which system ends up being number 2 worldwide. Looks the the PS2 will be here to stay, but I hope the XBox can solidify 2nd place behind it. Not really a Nintendo fan...

I was just about to say that Dreamcast systems are really good, and they actually have good graphics. At Electronics Boutique, if you buy $75 worth of Dreamcast supplies, you get the system free. I just have to ask how many systems Sega has put out? I've lost count. The Sega Saturn hasn't even been mentioned here yet.

Here's what I remember
Genesis (8 bit and 16 bit)
Game Gear
Sega CD
Saturn
Dreamcast

My Uncle has a Sega Saturn, he has a total of 5 games. Virtua Cop and VC 2 are pretty cool, Daytona USA can be fun at times. My buddy has a whol crapload of Dreamcast games, most of them bootlegs he got off Ebay, some of the games are pretty cool. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is some game where you play as an alien trying to take over the world. I forgot the title.

MY last system was a PS1 before that I had a Genesis and before that Nintendo 8 bit and even before that I had a Commodore 64 :)

I stopped playing ps1 only have a few games on it. I mostly play these old systems on the PC now with emulators. The best times for the consoles was in the 8bit nintendo/Commodore era. Memories:)

The system's Sega had were:

Sega Master System.-8 Bit. Could play both Cartridge and a Credit Card looking type games (there were four games up out on the Card).

Genesis- 16 bit. Had the sound volume built in

Genesis II-16 bit. Dropped the sound volume. Smaller model.

Genesis III- 16 bit. Came out right before the 16 bit gen. ended. Smaller model than the Genesis II. Can still find them new.

Game Gear- 8 bit. Color. Ate battery's left and right.

Sega CD-16 bit. Front loading, sat under the Genesis.

Sega CD II- 16 bit.Top loading, sat next to the Genesis.

Sega 32X- 32 bit. Add-on to any Genesis system. Also a few 32X CD games were made.

Sega Pico- Kids computer type system. Had something to do with books, I think.

Sega CDX- 16 bit. Hard to find. Size of a portable CD player. Play's Genesis and Sega CD games. Could play 32X games when add-on was placed on. Goes for $100 plus on ebay.

Sega Nomad- 16 bit. Hard to find. Handheld Genesis. Could hook it up to your TV and use a Genesis controller with it. Gose for $100 plus on ebay.

Sega Saturn- 32 bit. Shipped in North America four months early. 3rd part companies didn't know that, and didn't have alot of games out when it hit the market. Also very hard to make games on the thing also. So companies quit doing it.

Dreamcast- 128 bit. Reason for death? Sega couldn't afford to keep making them. It was selling every where around the world. They were in the red to far from the Saturn. More system's they sold, the more money they lost. So they dropped it.

I can't believe I remeber all this from memory.
