What Happened to Error 22?

1267 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  kirkus
There was a flurry of complaints by DOD users last week about getting Error 22 while trying to get their receivers connected to the internet.

I had the problem but it went away. I don't see any more activity on any threads about this.

What happened?

This appeared to be an anamoly that was on the DirecTV side. The level of discussion was reduced after Doug Brott informed the community that DirecTV was aware/addressing the issue.

In my case, with the latest CE, my HR21-200 passes all network tests.

Really? Error 22 is alive and well here in Colleyville, TX.

Please report your issue in this thread:

DirecTV knows what is causing the Error 22 but they need more information and data from those that are still getting it so they can see if it is the same thing or not.

This is my second submission. I have noticed that though my HR20 advanced settings page shows MAC address of 00:10:95:74:5c:67, my router DHCP client list shows the HR20 to have a MAC address of 00:10:95:74:5c:68. It assigned an IP address of 192.168.1.104. I have tried connecting after setting advance settings to IP address ending in 1,104 and 111 (after entering a reserved DHCP at 111 with the MAC address as indicated on the HR20.) None provide connectivity. Also unable to ping 192.168.1.104 or 192.168.1.111 from PC.
