I live on the West Coast.

Do I live in a DMA? If so, what is it?

Will I ever be able to get the East Coast Networks like I had with my C-Band Dish?

I know I live in Taxifornia :(

Thx

DMA = Designated Market Area. This is your TV advertising market, as determined by Nielsen Media Research.

Nielsen divides the country by DMA (usually along county lines) so that local stations can determine advertising rates for each market. This same system is used to determine which locals your satellite provider can legally sell you. Rest assured, you ARE in a DMA.

If you want east coast feeds, you have to apply for a waiver. Waivers are hard to get, but it's free to ask for them. Call your satellite provider.
